Show SMS enters traffic safety competition Springville high school, with others of Utah county are participating par-ticipating in a no-citation bas-sis bas-sis traffic safety contest in an effort to make students more safety conscious and to eliminate elimin-ate accidents involving students, stu-dents, Springville safety com mittee officials announced this week. A green cross Safety flag has been purchased by the Springville Jaycees, from . the Utah County Safety Committee, Commit-tee, and have presented it tc the high school to be used in the contest. When students of the SHS go through an entire week with no more than two citations the school flys the Safety flag the following week. Citations are prorated on an enrollment basis. ba-sis. For instance, the very small high schools are not allowed al-lowed any citations while Springville is allowed two and still earn the right to fly the flag. Participating in the contest are, besides Springville: Spanish Span-ish Fork, Payson, Provo, Orem, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lehi, St. Francis, BY high school and the Central Utah Vocational School.' |
