The public is invited to attend. Presiding at the exercises will be Carl A. Patten, president presi-dent of the School Board. Wei-by Wei-by S. Warren, mayor of Maple-ton Maple-ton will dedicate the building. Prelude music will be by the junior and senior high schoo' string orchestra, followed bj the pledge of allegiance by the First, Second and Third grade students. The opening prayei will be by Reed Bennett of Mapleton. Following comments by the general contractor, J. Clark Elmer and by Joseph H. Ash-worth, Ash-worth, architect, the string orchestra, directed by Harmon Hatch, will give music numbers. num-bers. Leo A. Crandall, Springville board member, will make formal for-mal presentation of the building build-ing and Lee Ralphs of the school, will make the acceptance accep-tance speech. Mrs. J. D. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen will officially present the school PTA charter to Mrs. Brinkerhodd, president, during the evening program. The Fifth grade will give musical numbers in French and W. W. Brockbank, superintendent, superinten-dent, will make remarks. Strong Jr., president of Kolob Stake, and Maurice Bird, bishop of the First ward, as special guests. Located at 1050 South Seventh Sev-enth East St., the school received re-ceived its name Sage Creek from a term applied to the southeast section of Springville Spring-ville since early days. Because of the immense growth of sage brush through which ran a cold spring stream, that part of town was called Sage Creek a name which has been carried down through the years. |
