Mrs. Virgil Bird entertained with piano selections during the evening and Mrs. Berton Groesbeck reported on the meeting of the Legislative Council. Moon, president, was in charge of the meeting The visiting guest speaker described the problems confronted con-fronted by the Jews in returning return-ing to their native land and of the dire predicament of the Arabs, many of whom are being be-ing cared for by United Nations Na-tions funds as they live idle in displaced person camps. Professor Ricka blamed much of the trouble on a system of land ownership by a few who rent out the land to workers and collect the rent without ever seeing the property.
