Show Civic Clubs Meet Robert J. Smith, service representative rep-resentative of the Mt. States Tel. and Tel. Co.', will discuss the distant early warning system sys-tem being developed by Western West-ern Electric as a civil defense measure, at the meeting of the Lions and Ladies this evening even-ing at 7:30 p.m., at Melody Inn. O. J. Peay will be in charge of the program assisted by Otto Fry, Dave Friel and Er-ling Er-ling Roylance. There will be a trumpet solo by Blaine Hales and a quartet composed of Diane Boyer, Linda Hall, Patty Whitney and Mary Jane Bird, accompanied by Susan Friel, will furnish vocal numbers. Kiwanis James H. Lawrence will address ad-dress the Kiwanis club on, "Building Individual Responsibility," Responsi-bility," an objective of the club for 1959, at the meeting this evening at 7 p.m., at Westside school. Keith Robinson will be toastmaster. President Vernon O. Cook in charge. Following the meeting, rehearsal re-hearsal will be held for what clubmen describe as, "a real fine white show," directed by Rowene DiFiore of Payson. |
