Little Steven Ray Marshall, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Pyper of Springville may not realize it at this early age, but he has a record which very few babies can claim that of being the youngest of five generations along two lines of the family. Newlyweds Reside in Springville; Reception Followed Temple Rites All settled in their new apartment at 250 East Third North Street in Springville, are Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. David Prothero, who rill, Janet Holley, Katheryn Groneman and LaRue Whiting were bridesmaids. Their gowns of purple dacron and cotton and baskets of purple and white asters were in keeping with" the reception color theme of purple and. white. Roe All-ma- n was best man to the groom. At the guest book were Kaaren Cook and Barbara Hall and greeting guests were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Tolley, David Miner and Mrs. Helen Steven-son. Diane Taylor and Aldeani Cazier were ushers. Serving was by Mary Har-mer, Mary Connie Conover, Janet Gale, Loraine Boyer, Suz-anne, Nancy and Mary Strong, Nan Harward, Linda Stevenson and Myrna Filler. Arranging gifts were Mrs. Ruth Miller, Mrs. Alvera Brin-to- n, Mrs. Carole Blanchard, Mrs. Bert Strong, Mrs. Ernest 3oyer and Mary Lu Furr, as- - were married in the Salt Lake Temple August 7 and honored the following evening with a lovely reception in the Third-Nint- h ward church. They left shortly after the reception on a wedding trip 4.0 the west coast stopping in San Francisco and Fresno and spent a short time in Las Ve-gas enroute home. The charming young bride is the former Collette Miner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Miner and David's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dean J. Prothero also of this city. David plans to continue his studies at the BYU, where he will enroll in his junior year this fall and Collette has re-sumed her work in Provo. Standing in the flower bank-ed rotunda of the church, the couple received their many re-latives and friends at the Fri-day evening reception. For the event,, the bride chose a wedding gown of em-broidered nylon organza over satin. Her veil of illusion fell from a close-fittin-g cap with seed-pea- rl and rhinestone trim and her bouquet consisted of a spray of Vanda orchids cen-tered by a large orchid. Attending the bride as ma-tron of honor was Mrs. Mar-gery Miner, while Mary Mor- - sisted by Jolene Stevenson, Karen Stevenson and Toynette Brinton, gift bearers. Unique decorations on the serving table was the story book doll collection in croch-eted baskets, belonging to the bride. A pretty wedding cake was topped with a tiny bride and groom and on either side were basket arrangements of purple and white asters. (doming. Events . . . Riding Club Family Outing The annual family outing for members of the Hobble Creek Riding Club and their partners is announced for Sunday Aug-ust 24 with dinner at 11:30 a.m., at Balsam Park, Hobble Creek Canyon, announces Sam Kinser, chairman. A program of games and visiting will be held in addition to the dinner. State Convention Of PTA in SLC The annual state convention of PTA is announced for Aug-2- 5, 26 at the University of Utah, featuring a theme, "P1, Where Children Come First." Mrs. Rollin Brown, Los An- - geles, past president of the na-tional PTA will be the princi-pal guest speaker. Business-Industr- y Education Meet George Romney, president of American Motors Corp. will speak at the annual Business-Industry-Educati- Day ban-quet sponsored by the Provo Chamber of Commerce Thurs-day evening, Sept. 4. Utah State Fair Dates- - Scheduled The Utah State Fair begins Sept. 12, at the Fair Grounds, Salt Lake. Utah County will furnish a maximum of $300 for exhibiting of sheep, dairy cattle, beef cattle, horses and swine. 20-3- 0 Club Meet Ladies of 20-3- 0 Clubmen are invited to meet with their hus-bands at an opting and dinner this evening at 7:30 p.m., at Kelly's Grove. Games and a program are other features planned. Springville Playhouse Board Meeting Board members of the Springville Playhouse have been called to a meeting Wed-nesday evening, August 27, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Schouten at 8 p.m. President August 25. There will be a pro-gram, games and refreshments and all young people in these age groups are invited to at-tend. Kolob Stake MIA Set Dance There will be no charge for Kolob Stake MIA dance in the Stake. House Saturday evening at 9 p.m., to which all Mutual age of Kolob and Springville stakes are invited. It will be a semi-form- al affair with mu-sic bys an orchestra. Riding Family Reunion Planned A reunion of the descendants of Christopher Lister Riding are invited to the annual re-union August 23, beginning at 10 a.m., at Saratoga Resort. All are asked to bring pot luck lunch and a program will be presented. Woodrow Weight will be in charge. Pour maple-blende- d syrup over i dish of ice cream . . . sprinkle with nuts . . . and enjoy a "bit 'o beaven"! Maple Sherbet is another "easy" dessert: just mix a cup jf maple-blende- d syrup with a cup of buttermilk, about a table-spoon of lemon juice and a dash of salt. Freeze about 2 hours, then beat until smooth, but not melted. Fold in one cup of whipped ;ream and freeze again. Serve with more maple-blende- d syrup aften! Maple Freeze 1 cup maple-blende- d syrup 1 cup whipping cream 3 egg yolks, well beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla Few grains of salt Chopped canned salted nuts 3 egg whites Heat syrup in top of double boiler. Pour hot syrup slowly into beaten egg yolks, stirring constantly. Return to double boiler and cook over hot water until mixture is thickened and will coat a silver spoon. Remove from heat Cool to room temperature. Meanwhile add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff but not dry. Fold egg whites into syrup mixture. Whip the cream; add vanilla. Add to syrup mixture. Pour into freezing trays of refrigerator and freeze until firm. Serve with salted nuts as garnish, if desired. Makes 8 servings. FOR BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES.
