Once one has achieved both dainti?iess and becomingness, the problem Is solveff. New Fall Trimmings. There are a wealth of new trimmings trim-mings for the fall. The French ingenuity in-genuity Is being taxed to the utmost In this respect, and already some of the most novel innovations are displayed. dis-played. For veilings there are some marvelous woolen embroideries Interwoven Inter-woven with silk which are mf.st effective. ef-fective. Such embroideries must, however, contrast with the general colors of the gown. One wouid Imagine Im-agine that the use of wool upon light veilings would result in a heavy effect, ef-fect, but so delicately, and so cleverly clever-ly are the woolen threads woven that the effect is rich, but not in the least cumbersome. Some of the newest new-est veiling gowns have the trimming in question embroidered directly upon them, but still others are simply or-pamented or-pamented with it in the ordinary applique fashion. Even on tulles these woolen em-oroideries em-oroideries are employed, but in such casos the design is almost exclusively floral, or foliage garlands, vtich, when encrusted on the tulle, have the effect of flowers or vines running through it. |
