There is an impression among some that the late President Peterson's successor suc-cessor may not be named at this conference. Two meetings of the Young Men's Mutual Improvement Association Asso-ciation of the South Sanpete stake were held in this city last Sunday. The meetings were addressed by Apostle Rudger Clawson, the purpose pur-pose of which were to make the officers of the association thoroughly thorough-ly acquainted with the work before them this winter, as well as to have the work uniform in the several wards. The Ertmann dramatic company, which comes to the Manti opera house Friday and Saturday nights, Nov. 7 and 8, is highly spoken of by the press of the State. The company presents "The Two Orphans" Or-phans" and "The Wanderer," two exceptionally beautiful plays. At Mt. Pleasant the company was greeted with two packed houses, and the Pyramid reports that the players did full justice to their pans and that the audience was delighted.
