The Weather Clerk has been exceedingly ex-ceedingly kind to Manti during the past few weeks, in the way of pouring down upon us a plentiful amount of moisture. To-day there is every indication that the weather will clear up, which will also be appreciated by the farmers, giving them an opportunity to get their seeding done. So far it has been a most favorable season. . Editor Gledhill and his family have been released from quarantine, quaran-tine, and the Gunnison Gazette again made its appearance last Saturday. Sat-urday. In view of the fact that neither the editor, or any member of his family, have been afflicted with any sickness whatever, it is somewhat puzzling to know why they should have been confined so closely for a month. Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. James Crawford, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. John C. Kjar, Mr. Jens Madsen and Miss Nettie Madsen. The party will be absent two weeks. The mothers' meeting will be held on Friday, the 14th, at 3 p. m., at the home of Mrs. J. II. Ilornung. All interested are in-vited in-vited to be present. John A. Ilougaard was down in Sevier county the past week surveying sur-veying the townsite of Venice. The new town is situated between Richfield and Glen wood. The old heme dramatic company are rehearsing "Colleen Bawn," to be presented in the near future as a benefit for the North Ward Relief Re-lief Society hall. Date will be announced an-nounced later. Miss Selma Nyberg and Mr. II. P. Hanson of Fairview, were married mar-ried in the Temple to-'day. Miss Nyberg made her home in Manti last summer, and her acquaintances here will wish her much joy. Miss Sophia Jones and Mr. Frank Harmon will be married this evening even-ing at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. II. F. Harmon. Har-mon. Bishop Wm. T. Reid will perform the ceremony. We extend congratulations. ' The San Pete Valley road had a slight mishap to one of its trains a few days ago. Coming down from the mines with a train of coal, a spread rail was encountered near Sterling, several cars being thrown from the track. A car of slack was dumped, otherwise the damage was nominal.
