Show CITY COUNCILMATTERS. March 2, 1903. Council met in regular session, Mayor Anderson presiding. All members present. The Supervisor reported he had had an interview with the owners of the Brigham field ditch. They were not willing to repair the ditch with lumber, but were inclined to use rock in repairing it, if the city would furnish the rock. Councilman Jensen moved that the repairing of the sidewalks along the Brigham field ditch be referred to the commictee on Streets and Alleys and the Supervisor, with power to act; carried. The Sunt, of Waterworks reported re-ported that about fifty taps were frozen. He also suggested that the pipes should be laid deeper under the Brigham field ditch. The special committee appointed to confer with the City Attorney relative to the distribution of city creek water by the city council, reported they had seen the Attorney Attor-ney and he was to give a written opinion. The Recorder read the xttorney's opinion, and the report of the committee was accepted and the Attorney's or inion ordered to be filed. The committee on Public Grounds reported that the City Engineer had promised to make plats of the cemetery and present them to the council. Letters were received from Congressman Con-gressman Sutherland and Senator Kearns, and Commissioner W. A. Richards, relative to Manti Forest Reserve. The following telegram was also received by the Mayor: "Washington, D. C. "Be of good cheer, we are leaving nothing undone in behalf of your reserve; expect action without delay. "Geo. Sutherland." The Recorder read reports for the months of January and February, Febru-ary, and a financial statement for both months. Report accepted. Following bills were allowed: A.
