There is nothing I have said In my other letters or that I will say in this one that I am sorry for. But I am sorry that it was necessary to write them. I am sorry that men elected to offices of public trust will get the swelled head and imagine they are the only pebbles on the beach and that the people are their servants to come and go at their beck and call. Officers should remember that they are public servants and that the public is paying for that service. When they fail in performing their n duties they are justly entitled to a in most humble tax the by payer the city. Ne one was blind to the fact that our Mayor and two of the Council were total failures as officers, but all lived in hopes that they would eventually sec the folly of their ways and. attend to their own business and let people alone who were inclined to be silent and set their mistakes down to lack of experience.
