Show 1 Mrs John Hreinson Laid to Rest Funeral services were held in the I First ward meeting house Saturday afternoon over the remains of Mrs John Hreinson who died last Thur clay morning at six oclock at the age of fiftyfive l years at her home in First ward Mrs Hreinsons health has been on the decline for a long time I past and during the five weeks precced ing her death she had been confined to her bed suffering with catarrh of the stomach The house was filled to overflowing with friends and relatives who had come to pay their last respects to the departed Bishop R W McKell presided over I the services Henry Tilley offered tht opening prayer The speakers wen I Gesli Bjarnason Ira J McKell and Wm Johnson all of whom bore a faithful faith-ful testimony to the sterling life and character of the deceased Lars W Nielsen rendered a very appropriate solo in a beautiful manner The benediction bene-diction was pronounced by Joseph E Wilkens I None but those who have sat in the shadow of a great bereavement can justly weigh such u Borrow as this Those who have gone down into the valley of suffering and stood for months by the side of a loved one as hope after hope dropped away as the petals fall from a fading flower know that such d anguish cannot find solace in the ten derest words She who has gone forth could not be supported on her solitary earthly friend The hus path by any band whose heroic devotion never faltered fal-tered could not detain her by the clasp of earthly love but after the last word had been spoken the last sign of recognition was gone a look of peace which proclaimed victory settled on her face and he knew she was resting on a mighty arm |
