Thus an abortive stomach with traces f capacity for secreting gastric fuid grows on the liver till It destroys the functioning of that organ. When cut out, the same cancerous stomach growths may start again In the same or some other place, but alwaye with the same character, by cell division, like producing like. Cancer, like tuberculosis, Is common to all the lower animals, the goat being freest from jt. Thousands of experiments have been conducted cn guinea pigs, rats and mice In this country and Europe, without conclusion as tc cause or cure. Wilh the statistics en cancer, and these data In the light of the" most advanced knowledge of nutrition, the conclusion hat been reached that as consumption Is of albumen, usually attacking the lungs, to can- cer is of albumen, the essential substance of which cells are formed. It Is due to abnormal appropriation of albumen for cell formation, usually oftjr middle life, when less slbur.en Is required, and an excess Is supplied. Consequently .'.he children of Irish, Cerman and Scandinavian par enta In this country, eating much more albuminous food, meat and eggs, especially, than their parents were adapted to, show a greatly Increased mortality from cancer, while Italians, Bohemians, Greeks, and other nationalities who continue ' to eat, largely, the same, low, protein food at their ancestors, largely fruit, thow ' little In- -' hypo-nutritio- n v'L'V'v JUDICIARY ' t 'to lovemaking;, of the mosc Saturday ' CANCER -- The new S, S.
