RUSSIANS TIRE OF PRISON Attempt to Break Jail and Are Slaughtered by the Guards Yekatorlnoslay Tho attempt made by prisoners to break out of the government gov-ernment Jail hero after making a breach In tho wall of Uio guard room with a bomb wan a complete failure but It brought about a horrible scene of slaughter in and around the jail building Twpntyelght of tho prisoners pris-oners wore shot to death by lie guards and another ot them has since died ot his wounds Thirty others were wounded and It Is expected that several of these will succumb As soon as the bomb was thrown one of the detachments of prisoners charged tho guards In tho courtyard and attempted to climb the wall Twelve of these men wore killed instantly In-stantly while others were wounded At tho samo tlmo n second body of prisoners rushed to tho kitchen and seizing knives and other weapons attempted at-tempted to cut their way In liberty They were surrounded and killed ton to-n man by the soldiers who had been hastily summoned by tho prison authorities au-thorities
