The county attorney Is also in possession of sufficient information to warrant the issuance of complaints charging many ether irregularities, including forging other men's names to double morttrill gages. The total peculations amount to 8,000. Hozheimer was apprised of the tact that his alleged crimes had been uncovered while attending the state legislature at .Boise. He Immediately and his whereabouts si disappeared unknown, It is generally relieved that he went direct to Canada, although the sheriff is inclined to the belief that he is beaded for Mexico. Holzhelmer was elected to the legislature on the Republican ticket last November. . Ho was very popular throughout the county and polled an exceptionally heavy vote. At that time he was engaged in the real estate and Insurance business, being secretary of the Bannock Abstract & Trust company of Poeatello. On the strength of a bogus telegram telling of his heirship to an estate worth $3,000, Holzhelmer secured $1,000 in cash from the First National bank of this city about two weeks ago. He is accused of forging the name of to two mortgages, covering the same piece of property, and $2,500 from his aged mother ind $1,500 from a well known busi. ness man. As a notary public Holzhelmer certified to nil bogus mortgages and deeds, so his dealings were known only to himself and the other principals in the tnansactlon. Holzhelmer was married about ' year ago at Saginaw, Mich.
