Show THREE FIRES MENAGE GUESTS HSTELRf Blackfoot Hotel Thrice in Blaze in Period of Four Hours.' Special to The Tribune. BLACKFOOT, Idaho, May 13. Three fires within a period of four hours in the Cottage hotel in this city kept the fire department busy late last night and early this morning. The fires in part are believed to have been the work of an incendiary. in-cendiary. The. twenty-five guests of the hostelry made safe exits when the first alarms were given by using stairways and fire escapes mainly, although a number climbed to the roof of an adjoining- garage ga-rage and thence to the ground. None of the guests suffered injury. The first blaze was discovered at 11 o'clock last night under the flooring of the lobby, and almost simultaneously another an-other fire was discovered in an unoccupied unoccu-pied guest room on the second floor. These were promptly extinguished by the firemen, but the department was again called into action when a third blaze broke out at 2:30 this morning in a guest room a considerable distance from the points where the first two fires were discovered. A thorough investigation is being made. The property damage wili not exceed ?500. |
