Show TI KILLED I Idahoans Meet Death When Car Turns Turtle Down Embankment. Special to The Tribune. SALMON, Idaho, Sept. 10. Mrs. George Rode of Ulysses, and Eli Allen of Gibbonsvllle, were killed when the car Jn which they were riding- went over the grade at a point thirty-five miles down the Salmon river from this city, pinning the occupants under it. The accident occurred near the Elliott ranch and was witnessed by Mrs. Elliott who summoned assistance. Mrs. Rode with her husband and Allen and other neighbors, had attended a dance at Shoup Saturday night. Sunday Sun-day morning Rode went down the Salmon river on a hunting1 trip while Mrs. Rode started for hme, offering Allen a lift in her car, which she was driving. Allen is a returned soldier, son of Mrs. Al Royce of Gibbonsville. Mrs. ; Royce has suffered a double bereavement j within the year, as another son, Lcland Allen, who "was with tho American expeditionary ex-peditionary forces, died in Siberia and his body was brought to Gibbonsville for burial. Mrs. Rode was a resident of Caldwell and is survived by her parents, who reside re-side there. |
