Show MEXICAN REVOLUTION. Francisco Villa is wanted in the Vniied States for murder committed at Columbus, New Mexico, and since he is once more committing depredations depreda-tions along the border under the guise of leader of a revolution against the Mexican government we hope the American authorities down there will pet hold of him in the near future. There can be no such thing as peace in northern Mexico so long as this murderous mur-derous bandit lives. Evidently he has been getting supplies and ammunition from this side of the international j boundary line, from what sources we I are unable to conjecture. VTe are well aware of the fact, however, that not all of the scoundrels along the border are Mexicans. For some years past there have been repeated efforts made ' to embroil the United States in a war ' with Mexico and the German propa-i propa-i gandists were in part responsible. Ow ing to the tense situation in Europe while the Berlin authorities are mak ing up their minds as to whether or no they will sign the peace treaty perhaps per-haps the agents of the Huns on the Eio Grande have resumed their activities. This is a reasonable supposition. It is to be hoped there will be no more sac- . rifice of American lives on the field of battle, that the covenant of the league of nations will be ratified and that Mexico, in common with the rest of the nations of the world, will settle down to a long era of peace. Still, there is no telling what will happen. |
