The motion carried unanimously. Lieutenant Commander R. R. Mann of the United States navy, addressed the members of the club in behalf of navy recruiting. The speaker pointed out the need of more men in the navy and said that at the present time there are more than seventy setups out of commission for want of men. He added that he believed naval life had been generally misrepresenting misrepre-senting and assured his listeners that the old-time punishment of men mid long since been done away with and that the men of the navy were given every opportunity oppor-tunity for improvement.
