Show FUNERAL OF PIONEER IS HELD AT PAYS ON i Special to The Tribune. j PAYSON, Dec. 24. Funeral services for Joseph S. Douglass, who died Saturday Sat-urday evening at his home, were held Tuesday afternoon in the First ward : chapel under the direction of Bishop J. A. Loveless. The speakers were J. L. Townsend, P. ; G. Hansen and Paul Wirthlin. The ward choir was in attendance, with Clifford ; Bale in charge. A solo was rendered bv ( Daniel Webster, a duet by Miss Hannah Jones and' Arthur Jones and a quartet, comprising Arthur Jones, Charley Dixon, D. Webster and Willis Gale, also sang. The invocation was offered by John Stah el i and the benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by President Joseph Reeco. At the close of the services the Pay-son Pay-son silver band played a funeral march. Interment was in Payson cemetery. President Hyrum Lemmon dedicating the grave. The pallbearers were the six sons of Mr. Dougiass. i The many beautiful floral offerings and I the large attendance at the services evi-j evi-j dencod the high esteem in whiuh Mr. Douglass was held. |
