Show Mrs. Joe Kemp and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Larson of Afton, Wyoming, left Thursday for Berkeley where Mr. Larson will enter the University of California. Califor-nia. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Nielsen of Lark are parents of a son born Sunday in the L. D. S. hospital, hos-pital, Salt Lake City. Mrs. Nielsen Niel-sen is the former Miss Jessie Seal of Lark. Parker Gray, Orville Gray and Norman Gray visited in Grace, Idaho, last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ned White of Magna visited Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marriott Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Peterson and daughter Darlene visited Sunday in Layton. Mr. and Mrs. Don Stuart and small daughter Nancy Lou of Fillmore are visiting until Sunday Sun-day with Mrs. Rose Stuart of Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. Aimer Berg. LOCAIJOTES Mrs. Boyd Bernard of Salt Lake City is entertaining members of the GGG club today. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peterson of Copperton arc parents of a daughter born Saturday, May (i, at the Breckon Maternity Home. Mrs. Alger Baum left Saturday Satur-day for Los Angeles to visit three weeks with Mrs. William Rogers and Julian Baum. Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Helmle of Los Angeles visited at the home of Mrs. Helmle's mother, Mrs. Brigham Vanderschuit last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stark of Ogalala, Nebraska, accompanied the Helmles. Hal Reherd of Lark is recovering recover-ing from a severe leg injury suffered suf-fered Sunday when he was running runn-ing an electric saw. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jenkins are parents of a daughter born Sunday, April 30, at St. Mark's hospital. I Mr. and Mrs. Al Lipsey are parents of a daughter born Tuesday, Tues-day, May 2. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Ross of the Byrnes hotel, Copperfield, are parents of a daughter born Saturday, Sat-urday, May 6, at the Bingham Canyon hospital.- Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Hansen of Richfield visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Grant Wednesday and Thursday. Henry Stillman of Los Angeles is visiting at the homes of his brothers as guest of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Stillman of this city and Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Stillman of I Copperton. He will be here about I two weeks before returning home. George Papanicholas and son Johnny of Magna are spending two weeks in San Francisco at the World's fair. Mr. Papanicholas Papanicho-las is owner of the Copper Coal and Lumber company. Ralph Clark, contact man for ' Sun Valley Inn, Idaho, was a visitor at the home of Dr. R. G. Frazier Monday evening. Mr. Clark came to see the films of Middle Fork of the SJlmon river taken by Dr. Frazier. Films of the Utah Copper mine and the Magna Mill will be shown by Dr. R. G. Frazier at the Saturday Evening club meeting meet-ing at the Alta club in Salt Lake City tomorrow night. Members of the graduating class of the Montana School of Mines visited the Utah Copper company open-pit mine here Saturday. In the group were 32 students, majoring in mining, metallurgy and geology. They are on a month's tour of mining points of interest and will cover 8500 miles. They will visit the New York and San Francisco fairs, Mr. and Mrs. George Great-house Great-house of Elko, Nevada, were guests- of Mr. and Mrs. J. William Grant Saturday. Mr. Greathouse was formerly the!J. C. Penney store manager in Bingham, leaving leav-ing here in 1927 'to take over managership of the Elko store, and was in Salt Lake City attending at-tending the J. C. Penney managers' manag-ers' meeting held Thursday and Friday. |
