From Wyoming state line via Antelope and Manila to Linwood, earth road; length 14 miles; serving population of 500; esti-mated esti-mated cost, $21,000. Federal aid in these projects will amount, it is estimated, to $2,841,031.92. As a result, there will be a connected svs-tem svs-tem of good roads to all parts of the state. Of the amount to be expended, the counties coun-ties will be called upon to bear a total of $4S5,647. Delegations Heard. Several delegations requesting road improvements im-provements in the southern part of the state were heard at the meeting yesterday. yester-day. The contract and bonds for the concrete con-crete paving von the Salt lhake-Ogden road were approved and signed by the governor at the meeting, and the work at Center-ville Center-ville and Farmington will proceed at once. A delegation-from Kephi requested the state to pay two-fifths of the cost of a concrete road a mile and a half long through that city. They w ere advised that telephone poles now were too close to the area to be paved, and that thev must be moved before definite arrangements could be made for the work. Citizens of Sanpete count-,- requested a hard surfaced highway between Mount Pleasant and Fairview, and the board instructed in-structed that an engineer should investigate investi-gate the matter and make a report. Payson citizens also requested paving through their city streets on the same basis that the paving for Nephi was requested. |
