Show MINERS' HEAD TO CONSULT WILSON WASHINGTON. April 1. Frank J. Hayes, president of the United Mine-workers Mine-workers of America, will sail for France within a few davs to confer with President Presi-dent Wilson upon matters connected with the miners' organization and with the production of coal in the United States. Mr. Haves made this announcement today to-day after a call at the White house to see Secretary Tumulty. He will be ac-companied ac-companied to France by Robert H. Har-Iin Har-Iin of Seattle. Wash., a member of the executive board of the miners' organization. organiza-tion. Mr. Haves declined to discuss the object ob-ject of h- trio other than to say that it was "of vital interest to the coal industry indus-try of the United States." It is understood that one of the questions ques-tions to be discussed with the president deals with the shipment of American coa! to Eneland.
