Show MALAD EXPERIENCES INFLUENZA FLAREUP Special to The Tribune. OGDEN", March 23. Malad, Idaho, made an appeal to Ogden tonight for doctors doc-tors and nurses to aid in combating' the influenza situation. It is said that there are scores of cases of the disease In that i town. The call was received by Bishop J. W. ! Ure from the president of the Malad Red Cross. At 4 o'clock Bishop Ure sent a call to the physicians. Dr. Mark Brown was the first to respond and left im- i mediately for Malad by auto. Dr. S. W. Badcon, with two nurses, Mrs. George and Miss Jeiter, left in an automobile at 8 o'clock. Bishop Ure and the Rev. J. K. Carver, president of the local Red Cross, made a call tonight for more doctors doc-tors and volunteer nurses to leave early tomorrow morning for Malad. It has been stated that the situation in Malad is serious. There are many families whose members are all stricken with the disease and have no help to depend de-pend upon. |
