Show STOCK DIES; RABID DOG IS SUSPECTED Special to The Tribune. VOCATEJjLO. Idaho, March 23. The state veterinarian will be in this city tomorrow lo investigate the condition of a number or cattle nnd horses a mile or two west of the cit.v said to have been bitten by n rabid dog. O. A Pownrs of the City Feeding company was compelled to kill a valuable horse yesterday because it developed unmistakable signs of being be-ing afflieted witli Uie disease. Powers stated that the horse had been bitten three wtks ago by a dog, a straiige canine in that neighborhood. The whereabouts of the dog is nnknown at this time no efforts having bi-en made to locate it, because it was not known tho dog was afflicted. Many oaitle, it is said, have died recently near the Powers ranch, and it is mipposed i hey, too, were attacked by the vicious dog. |
