Dr. Kobert EL Steele, piomfnent member mem-ber of the Salt Lake County Medical society, so-ciety, died at the family home, 116" South Kleventh East street, last Saturday Satur-day night. The Immediate cause of death way pneumonia, following an attack at-tack ' of Influenza. He was born in Ofcwegtfr, Kan., in 1S70. and was educated edu-cated at the University of Illinois. After grndua tion he took several postgraduate courses. Having finished his hospital work in Chicago. Dr. Steele came to Ulah tu 893, establishing himself In his profession profes-sion In Salt Lake. He stood exceptionally exception-ally high in his work, but took little interest In politics, and was not a member mem-ber of any club. For many years he was a member of the Masonic fraternity. He was a Knight Temp'ar and active In the work of the Malta comrnan.lery. Or. Steele Is survived by two children. chil-dren. Eleanor Steele. 12 years of age. and William Ba rr Steele. 9 years old. Mrs. Steele died fh December. 1917. He also leaves a brother. Dr. K. fl. Steele of Salt Lake. Arraneements for the funeral will not be completed until word from friends In the east can be received.
