Show DAVID E. WILLIAMS, pioueer Utah minet wliose death occurred oc-curred yesterday at his home in this city. PIONEER MINER IS I MED BY DEATH David R. Williams Expires at His Residence Here. David K. "Williams, a resident of Utah for the past forty-three years, and prominent in the early mining development develop-ment of the state, died yesterday morning morn-ing at the family home, 154 East Fifth South street. He was a native of Wales and at the time of his death was 72 years old. His death was indirectly due to a compound fracture of the left leg, sustained in an accident at the Moscow mine at Milford, of which he was superintendent. super-intendent. During all of the time he lived in Utah Mr. Williams was actively interested inter-ested in mining. His first employment on coming to the state was as shift boss at the Ontario mine at Park City. In later years and successively lie was superintendent su-perintendent at the Butler Liberal mine at Bingham, HonoHne mine at Stockton, Stock-ton, Spy and descent mine at Eureka, Utah mine at Fish Springs and Blue Dick mine at Phoenix. Ariz. Mr. "Williams is survived by his widow, Mrs. D. R. "Williams, and three daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. B. D. Field, Mrs. Harold Birkenshaw and Mrs. A alter M. Scott, all of Salt Lake.
