All the newspapers here publish the address ad-dress of President Wilson in New .York in ful'. In commenting on the speech, the Liberal says: "The address is the noblest thins: that has been thought or said since the beginning be-ginning of the war. It is the epitome of the general spirit of amity which dwells in the depth of every conscience that is free from covetous egotism. 'Perhaps President Wilson's r roar ram mav be too Idealistic. but we mght forget that this doctrine, so noble and po human, will be puaranteed in return hy the misfit v power of the I nited States, and that air; imperfections which mav be found in practice will be gradu-allv gradu-allv corrected by this ideal. "Tn any case, the most important fact is that the I'niied States by President Wilson has just said its last word. To it the allies will assuredly be willing to subscribe." "President Wilson's speech was made sfter he had replied to the Austrian note and also after Germany had proclaimed the immutability of the Brest-Lltovsk treatv. " says the Kroca. 'in such circumstances, the president's address will make a profound impression on all by its sublime disinterested attitude, atti-tude, renouncing, as it does, all desire fnr territorial and economic delineation. If Germany does not accept the peace thus sketched, she will no; be able to pretend that the v oi id does not desire peace, but must admit that the world is only determined de-termined not to have a German peace."
