Dunn, president, and Lee Fohl. manager, of the Cleveland baseball club, denied the report published in the New York Sun that First Baseman Sheely of the Salt La-ke club had been purchased ta take the place of Joe Harris for the Cleveland club. Both the president and manager claim to have heard nothing of such a deal. The fact that Dunn and McCredie of the Pa It Lake club have a worktne agreement agree-ment tor the season, it is believed, was taken as a foundation for the story-Dunn story-Dunn is saying little about the purchase of a new rust baseman, but he has assured as-sured the Cleveland fan? he will have first base well covered when Die season opens. |
