Show - GEORGE CROSBY, native of Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, who died yesterday of pneumonia, following an attack of influenza. t '' - p s MITCH Ml IS INFLUENZA VICTIM A victim of influenza, George Crosby, cattleman, financier; and business man of Salt Lake and Wyoming, died yesterday at a local hospital. Mr. Crosby was born at Fanguitch, Utah1( 47 years ago, and went into the cattle business in that locality when a young man. Later he engaged en-gaged in the same industry at Cowley, Wyo., and at Billings, Mont. As his herds Increased and his business expanded he engaged In a number of banking enterprises fn Wyoming' and Mon- i tana, and became interested in sugar ; factories and mercantile houses. He also became heavily interested in a number of Nevada mines and cattle ranches. ! He attended the late President Smith's funeral and on his return to his apartments apart-ments at the Hotel Utah, where lie made his home, complained of feeling indisposed. indis-posed. Influenza set in, followed by pneumonia, pneu-monia, wliicn caused his death. He is survived by two brothers, Jesse and Jo- ; seph Crosby, and three sisters, Mrs. Tjouis Tebbs of Panguitch, ULah; Mrs. Marion Willis of Cowley, Wyo.. and Mrs. Amelia ; Keat. The body will be taken to Cowley i tonight for funeral services and burial. |
