The German Ger-man Peace society at Munich, Bavaria, has directed a passionate appeal to the Swiss press against the "terrible (armistice) conditions and their injustice" to a new Germany, which has ridded ( itself of its militaristic leaders." The appeal is addressed "AH those, In enemy or neutral countries, who represent the ideals of justice and the right of national na-tional self-development." The message continues: "The most prominent and most powerful power-ful of those is President Wilson. That lie does not content himself with the original origi-nal armistice requirements, calling for I evacuation of occupied territories, hut has 1 agreed to the awful conditions Imposed, is j grimly portentous and probably will weaken his own influence in the exiraordi-nary exiraordi-nary peace conference. "We do not give up hope that he will hold to his oft-repeated solemn program that he is willing to judge the concrete peace problems justly, and that, with the help .of pacifically minded circles in allied al-lied countries, he will be able to accomplish accom-plish his wishes." |
