Show FACTORY WORKER IS SERIOUSLY SCALDED Sustaining burns over practically even' part of his body when he became covered cov-ered with live steam when a steam cell at the factory of the Utah-Idaho Sugar company at Mid vale burst shortly before be-fore midnight la,st night, Le Grande Winger, IS years of age. son of H. D. Winger, SI I West First South street, was brought to the L. D. S. hospital in an unconscious condition and little hope is held out for his recovery. According to his father, the lad had been employed at the Midvale plant for about one month and was expecting to return to college at the B. Y. U. at Provo when the schools ropnd. The j boy had mentioned to his father. Mr. j winger said, that some danger of steam , explosions existed in the mill arffc was j told to use great caution. Dr. J. S. Alley was summoned to tho factory when ' the accident occurred and brought the I boy to the hospital in Sal Lak. The cause of the bursting of the rteam cell could not be learned. |
