Show LITTLE ADVANCE IN IMPEACHMENT CASE AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 4. This afternoon's after-noon's session of the impeachment trial of Governor James E. Ferguson in the senate, devoted largely to reading letters from the governor to officials of the Temple Tem-ple State bank, produced little testimony testi-mony that was not given in the house investigation. The letters contained instructions in-structions as to the handling of various notes of the governor and business that was being carried on by the bank. At the morning session, Assistant Cashier Blum said that a portion at least of state funds on deposit in the Temple hank were loaned out. It has been testi- tied previously that Governor Ferguson asked state officials to put state money ; In the Temple bank, in which he was a j large stockholder. , i |
