The report of tho committee on resolutions, resolu-tions, pledging tho support of the christian chris-tian Kndeavor Union of Utah to President Wilson during the war and to the Red Cross society, was adopted at the final session of the nnnual state convention held last nb?t at the Plrst Presbyterian church. .Material assistance for the Armenians, Ar-menians, reported dying of starvation through tho cessation of rciief following the fall of the Kerensky government in Russia, was ured In the resolutions. The final sej-vlce was conducted, by the Rev. C. A. .Snyder, president. The programme pro-gramme was: Address, "My Responsibility," Responsi-bility," Dr. George fi. avies; solo. Miss Mary Beach; offertory, 'Some Day. Some iJ-ay"; anthem, "Hear Our Prayer"; in-stalla in-stalla tfon of officers: address, "Consecrated "Conse-crated Entirely," Paul (J. Brown of Los Angeles. Christian Endeavor field secretary secre-tary for CaJifornJa, and address bv Mr. Snyder. A message from TV. C. Allen, president of the California Christian Endeavor union, in session at I-os Angeles, was read. Mr. Brown conducted the installation of officers, elected for the next year Saturday, Satur-day, and urged the greatest activity during dur-ing 1918. The session was a union service, serv-ice, participated in by congregations of the churches In which there are units of tho union. The convention, which began, with a dinner Friday night at Iramamtel Baptist church, has been the most successful suc-cessful In the history of the state union. |
