TO PARADE AT PROVO Ephraim Troopers to Be Escorted Es-corted by Ladies' Mountain Moun-tain Echo Band. -Mustering out of tlie members of tlie Second squadrou of cavalry was completed com-pleted late yesterday at Fort Douglas and the soldiers were paid. At 7 o'clock this morning special cars will proceed to tho post to take the troopers to tbo depots, whero they will later depart for their respective home stations. Officers said last night that the last trooper will leave the city before 8 o'clock. Jlounts used by the squadron during its stay on the border were, s'nippod to the home stations yesterday. The troopers will proceed io their liome towns in special cars that are attached to the regular trains. Governor Simon Bamberger and Adjutant Ad-jutant General AV. G. Williams visited the post yesterday a.nd inspected the work of tie squadron. Welcome Awaits Troops. The headquarters detachment was not included in the muster out yesterday, as their services will be required for several davs in completing details of the muster" out work. Officers of the squadron will return to the post tomorrow tomor-row from their stations and, following the checking over ot equipment;, wiu ue relieved from dutv. Simultaneous with the mustering out of the squadron here yesterday more than thirty of the me'mbers who remained re-mained in Nogales and accepted positions posi-tions there also were relieved from federal fed-eral dutv. These men were nearly all from other states and joined here for dutv on tlie international line. Preparations are being made in the towns where the soldiers live to give them a roval welcome on their return todav. The welcoming to be held at Ephraim, the home of troop G, is being be-ing handled by committees appointed bv Mayor YVillardsen and the city council. coun-cil. Parade at Ephraim. Immediatelv after the arrival of the train the militiamen will be escorted uptown by a parade, headed by the Ladies' La-dies' Mountain Echo band. Following the guardsmen will be tho city officers, the Snow academy band, the public school teachers and pupils, the Snow academy faculty and students and the citizens' of Ephraim. After the parade it is planned to hold a meetine at the tabernacle, at which the following prosrramme will be rendered: ren-dered: Speech of welcome, Mayor C. Willardsen; response, Ontain Fred .Tor-pensen; .Tor-pensen; song, "The Flag Without a Stain," Arthur Smith; address, B. H. Roberts vocal duet. John W. After the programme a banquet will be given in honor of the members of troop G in the Social hall. The following follow-ing musical numbers will be given at the banquet: Selection, Ladies' Mountain Moun-tain Echo band: piano solo, LaVar Jen-son; Jen-son; selection, Snow academy band; piano solo. Members of troop F will arrive in Provo at 10:10 o'clock this morning. The citizens will form a parade upon arrival of the train, including boy scouts with flags, who will escort the soldiers. Included in the line will be members' of the Or. A. R. in automobiles, automo-biles, high school and eighth grade pupils, pu-pils, bands and fraternal orders. Following the parade the boys will gather in the Columbia theater, where an elaborate programme of addresses and music will be held. A luncheon will later be served in the First ward social hall, in honor of the returning troopers. Major W. B. Wallace, commander of the Second squadron, has been granted leave of absence for one month, to begin be-gin as soon as his squadron is entirely mustered out.
