Show Bingham Canyon's Clean-up Week Commences Monday Plans were completed for the annual Bingham Canyon Cleanup, Clean-up, Paint-up and Fix-up campaign cam-paign at a meeting held at the City hall last Friday evening which was presided over by R.D. Johnston, city councilman in charge of streets and sewers. The week of May 19-24 was set for the concerted drive to clean up the city. On Monday about 24 Boy Scouts from Bingham high school under the supervision of Ross Marriott will clean-up all vacant lots in the city, The boys will t meet at the city hall at 8:30 a.m. and there will be assigned different differ-ent sections. In the winter months much debris de-bris and rubbish accumulates a-round a-round residences in Bingham. During clean-up week the city furnishes men and trucks to pick up all extra rubbish that has been piled in a place accessible by truck. The following schedule has been arranged for pick up days in the different districts in the canyon: can-yon: Monday, May 19 Collections will be made in Carr Fork; Tuesday, May 20 Collections will be made on Main street from the upper end to the post office; Wednesday, May 21 Collections Collect-ions will be made on Main street from the post ofice to Markham intersection and up Markham; Thursday, May 22 Collections will be made on Main street from Markham down to and including Freman avenue; Friday, May 23 Pick-ups will be made on Main street from Freeman intersection to lower city limits and on Railroad avenue; ave-nue; Saturday, May 24 The city truck will gather up all rubbish that has been piled up on vacant lots by the Boy Scout3 and will also pick-up rubbish that has been placed on the curbs after regular pick-up days. It is the sincere desire of the clean-up committee that all residents resi-dents do their part in making this year's campaign successfuL For it is only through the cooperation of local citizens that an effective campaign can be conducted. Do your part, clean-up your premises next week. That's your share in making Bingham a better bet-ter place in which to live. O |
