Show DARTMOUTH HAS TEN GAMES ON SCHEDULE HANOVER, N. IT., Dec. 25. Dartmouth's Dart-mouth's football schedule fr 1917 has been announced with the following list of games: September 12. New Hampshire college at Hanover; September 29. Colby college at Hanover; October 6, Springfield Y. M. C. A. college at Hanover; October 13, Massachusetts Mas-sachusetts Aggies at Hanover; . October 20, West Virginia university at Hanover; October 27, Princeton university at Princeton; Prince-ton; November 3, Pennsylvania state college col-lege at Hanover; November 10, University Universi-ty of Pennsylvania at Boston; November 17, Tufts college at Manchester, N. H. ; November 24, Brown university at Springfield. Spring-field. Of the teams played this year Boston college, Lebanon valley, Georgetown and Syracuse do not appear on the new schedule, their places being filled by Col-hy, Col-hy, the champion of the Maine colleges; Springfield Y. M. C. A. college, expert users of the forward pass and the conquerors con-querors of Tufts this season; Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania state, which appears on a Dartmouth Dart-mouth schedule for the first time. Tufts is to he pjayed at Manchester. N. H., on the new field of the Amoskeag corporation corpora-tion and Brown is to be met for the first time since 1916 and to be played at Springfield, the scene of the last game between the two old rivals. White Has It Easy. NEW YORK. Dec. 25. Charlie White of Chicago outboxed Harry Pierce of Brooklyn in each round of a ten -round match in Brooklyn today. Pierce weighed 132 pounds and White 137. Cowler Beats Smith. ROCHESTER, N. Y., Dec. 26. Tom Cowder, the English heavyweight, outpointed out-pointed Gunboat Smith in a fast ten-round ten-round boxing match here this afternoon. Cowler had the advantage in eight rounds. Cowler weighed 207 and Smith 1S3. |
