Show RAILMEN TO URGE CAR LIMIT LAW The appointment of a legislative committee com-mittee to look after the interests of the rniiruad labor organizations during the tosxion of the legislature was aniiouueed yesterday hy the four railroad transportation transpor-tation brotherhoods. The committee is t'omposerl of E. M. Waldemeyer, representing repre-senting the Brotherhood of Coeomotive Kngineers: C. Iv. Biehler of the Brotherhood Brother-hood of locomotive Firemen and En-ginomen, En-ginomen, W. A. Perkins of the Brotherhood Broth-erhood of Eailwav Trainmen and H. E. Jldntire of the Order of Railway Conductors. Con-ductors. Tho one measure which the committee commit-tee has in view at this time is car limit law. fixing the maximum number nf cars to be handled in trains. The brotherhoods will insist on a maximum of fifty cars for freight trains and eight cars in pa,ssenger trains. Some attention also is to bo given tho workmen's work-men's compensation measure. |
