Show ADVENTIST EXPLAINS ATTITUDE ON SUNDAY Professor Fame-worth Says There Is No Tesire to Conflict- With Others, but to Liv Up to Scriptures. "Why Seventh-Day Advcn lists Rest on Saturday Instead of on Sunday," was the topic presented at the Adven-tist Adven-tist camp ground by Professor E. E. Farns worth of Loveland, Colo., last night. The professor explained that it was not the wish of this people to differ from other Christian bodies simply for the sake of being peculiar, but that on the contrary, much as they would like to be in harmony with their friends and neighbors, they feel compelled to be loyal first to the law of' God. ''When God created this world, ,; said he, "His law the fundamental law of the universe became the law for this world, as it undoubtedly is for the un-fallen un-fallen planets. The Bible declares the law of God to be perfect, and therefore unchangeable. "Now there ib no disagreement between be-tween us and the rest of the Christian world as to the number of the days of the week. All see that alike. But we find prophecy to indicate that during the dark ages the Sabbath of Jehovah would fall into obscurity by reason of apostasy; also many predictions that in the closing years of the history of the world, and as one of the last phases of the great reformation, which we believe be-lieve is not yet finished, the seventh day is again to be recognized by God's people as His Sabbath. ' There will be Sabbath school at the camp at 9 a. m. today, preaching bv Pastor H. 9. Shaw at 11 a. m., by-George by-George Reaser at 3 p. m. and by N. P. Neilsen at 8 p. m. |
