Merrill Nibley made a brief address ! to tho liotarians while they were at the plant, explaining what tho sugar company com-pany is doing in the way of supporting the industry of the state, what it is payiog the farmers for their beets and what the sugar industry means in a financial fi-nancial and inisiness way to the entire state. Manager Smoot of the plant took the visitors in personal charge and conducted conduct-ed them through the plant from tbe hamper, where the washed beets are dumped into the grinders, through' every department, to the vats whore :he dried sugar is dumped, then carried on traveling travel-ing belts to the sacking and packing department. de-partment. .
