Show WASHINGTON TO GET MORE MOTOR MONEY . The new motor law in the state of Washington, which went into effect on June 10, will bring at least $37,500 into the state coffers, which was not paid in last, year, to say nothing ot the large proportion which, operating in the jitney or for rent trade, must pay 50 cents per horsepower. As an illustration, the Ford machine, with an insurable twenty-three-horsepower, will cost the owner "$11.50 if used for passenger-carrying, as against $2.50 at present. Of the 15,000 machines in the state which are being operated illegally, illegal-ly, fully 6000 are in the Seattle district, dis-trict, but with the new law in effect revenue will be derived from cars which have been running without license li-cense of any kind. |
