Show GREEKS START RIOT. They Object to Reflections Upon Their Native Towns. Special to Thi Tribune. OGDEN, Dec. 10. Angered by the slurring remarks of an entertainer, who directed his comedy at their native towns in Greece, twenty Greeks started a riot in a coffee house at 1 -12 Twenty-fifth street tonight. The police quelled the disturbance in time to prevent bloodshed, but not before guns and knives had been drawn. During the melee $600 in currency was thrown on the floor and trampled under foot. The money was recovered and returned re-turned to its owner?. The pntertainer escaped through a back window. No arrests were made. |
