Show Former Copperton residents, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Crawford of Midvale, entertained at a delightful de-lightful midnight dinner at their home New Year's eve. Guests from here were Mr. and Mrs. T-H. T-H. McMullin, Mr. and Mrs. Odell Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Warren G. Allsop, Reho F. Thorum and Miss Betty M- Lewis- A guest of Dr. and Mrs. H. C. Jenkins last week-end was Miss Helen Stephens of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Harley N- English Eng-lish and son, Frankie, returned home Friday from a week's vacation, va-cation, which they spent in Los Angeles with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Butterfield and relatives of Mr. English. They attended the Rose bowl game and saw the Tournament Tourna-ment of Roses parade, "America In Flowers". Baptismal services were performed per-formed at the M. E. Mrs. Santistevan Santis-tevan and Nanette spent the New Year holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Mitchell in Salt Lake City. Miss Virginia Granning, daughter dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Granning Gran-ning of Highland Boy, came home Sunday from the Bingham hospital, hos-pital, where she has been receiving receiv-ing treatment for several weeks. LOCAL NOTES Mr. and Mrs. Reho F. Thorum, who were married New Year's day in Salt Lake City at the home of the bride, the former Miss Betty M. Lewis, returned Sunday Sun-day from a wedding trip to Sun Valley, Idaho, and are at home at the Copperton apartment. Mrs. Lola Johnson of Roosevelt Roose-velt returned to her home last Thursday after visiting over New Year's with her sister, Mrs. Christ Apostal, and son, Rex Johnson. The Rev. D- E. Leahy returned Saturday from a five-day visit in San Jose, Cal., with friends-Joel friends-Joel P. Jensen returned Sunday Sun-day from Ephraim, where he spent the week-end with his parents, par-ents, and brought Miss Maud Jensen, a teacher at Bingham Central school, and Miss Zoe Jensen, Jen-sen, of Ogden, back from spending spend-ing the holidays with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs- P. D. Jensen. |
