Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Takis of 187 Main street moved Wednes-day to make their home in an apartment on Fourth East and 19th South, Salt Lake City, which they have leased. Mr. Takis is associated with the Lendans Mercantile company and plana to drive back and forth to work. Masons from Christopher Diehl lodge of Garfield were in attend-ance at the regular semi-month- ly meeting of Canyon lodge No. 13, F. & A. M., Tuesday evening. The M.M. degree was conferred on Rex T. Nelson and child-ren, MaReen and Miles, returned Friday from a month's stay in Roosevelt with Mrs. Nelson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Faddis and family, Robert and Barbara, of American Fork, spent Sunday visiting here with relatives and friends. Principal and Mrs. R. R. Bell are moving into their recently purchased home at 46 Jefferson street, Midvale. The change in residence was recommended by Mrs. Bell's physician, who ad-vised that the altitude here is too high for her good health. The Bells leave June 12 for Yellow-stone national park, where Mr. Bell is employed for the summer. Miss Jenny Buchman, teacher at the Central school, Miss Mabel Neprud, principal at the Copper-to- n grade school, and Mrs. Sam Sturm left Wednesday for De-troit, Mich., where Miss Neprud will receive delivery on a new car. Miss Buchman will then go on to Rapid River, Mich., to spend the summer with rela-tives. Miss Edna Cook, instructor at Bingham Central school, will accepted an invitation to serve as county superintendent repre-- ' sentative on the Rocky Moun-tain advisory council on school building problems. The invita-tion came from the United States, oftice of education. Miss Lenore Lee, a teachor at Highland Boy, will attend the U. of U. summer school during va-cation. Miss Morinda Grange, a teach-er at the Highland Boy grade school, will attend summer school at Brigham Young university the coming session. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kalipetsis and sons, Jim and George, of St. Joe mine, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Panos. Mr. and Mrs.- - Elmo A- - Nelson visited Sunday in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum of Roosevelt. David T. Ireland is a member of the men's chorus at the Utah State Agricultural college at Lo-gan. The group will appear on the program for commencement exercises Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. George Kastanis and daughters of 42 Main moved to West Jordan Wednesday to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. John Turner and Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Marriott at-tended a wedding reception at the Springville LDS Fourth ward church Tuesday evening, in hon-or of Mrs. Marriott's niece, Miss Leslie Loveridge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Loveridge, who became the bride of Reed J. Francis of Springville. The couple will make their home in San Diego.
