Show EIGHTY-ONE CREWS ENTERED IN REGATTA PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 6. Eighty-one rowing crews from many sections of this country and Canada are ready for the forty-second regatta of the National Association As-sociation of Amateur Oarsmen, which will be held tomorrow and Saturday on the flchuylkill river. Sixteen races are on the programme, eight of which will be rowed each day. The quarter-mile dash, in which twelve i senior scullers are entered, is the only event in which heats wll be necessary. Two heats of this race will take place tomorrow and the final on Saturday. The Canadian crews, Don Rowing club, the Argonauts and the Toronto Boat club, which reached here today, completed the out-of-town contingent. . They were delayed de-layed In getting their shells through the customhouse, but were able to take a practice row over the course, late today. |
