Hubbard and L P Kelaev The committee met with the clt com miss on and proposed that the surplus canal now emptying Into Cohn s lake half wav between the river and Great Salt lake te extended another nine miles so as to flow into the lake This canal would serve, if enlarged to drain a large area, it was pointed out The delegation said that if. the city would stand halt the expensehe canal would be built and the city given a permanent easement to use it for the discharge of the flood wa tere of Jordan river The proposal was submitted to the city engineer for investigation and report.
