Show HIGH-GRADE DIE i ' DUGWAYMiNES SHAFT Eighteen-inch Streak on Hanging Wall Rich in Lead-silver Values. Having opened up eighteen inches of high-grade lead-silver ore in the main shaft and followed it on the Incline for twenty-tlve feet, Joseph and David Lun-deen Lun-deen have returned from the Dugway mining district to Salt Lake. With their associates they have organized the Dug-way Dug-way Mines Incorporated company. A force of men will be sent out to the property prop-erty and further development work pushed ahead as rapidly as possible.. Operations are to be resumed within the next thirty days. The articles of incorporation of the new company have been filed and at the meeting A. H. Cutright was elected president, presi-dent, Joseph Dundeen, vice president; Cyrus G. Oatrell, secretarv and treasurer. These, with R. C. McNeill and A. M. Spooner. form the directorate. The holdings of the company consist of three full claims located in the Dugway mining district. The nearest shipping point is St. John, u station on the San Pedro railroad, and is fifty-five miles from the property, which is located about two miles north of the old Buckhorn mine. The main shaft has been sunk on an eight-foot vein lying between a dolomite lime footwall and what has been termed a laminated lime hanging wall. At the 1 Go-foot point a streak of ore eighteen inches in width was encountered on the hanging wall. It has been sunk on for more than twenty-five feet with the shaft following the dip of the vein and is quite as strong In the bottom as when first encountered. en-countered. The main vein strikes to the northwest and the claims are so located that they include it for 3000 feet along He strike. It dips to the east and is intersected with cross fis-sures. All of the vein matter is heavily mineralized. Fi-e average samples gave the following follow-ing returns: No. 1, 1.5 ounces in silver and XI per cent in lead to the ton; No. 2. 46.3 ounces in silver and 67.2 per cent in lead to the ton; No. 3. .05 of an ounce in gold, 21.1 ounces in silver and 72.7 per cent In lead to the ton; No. 4, .01 of an ounce In gold. 11. SO ounces In silver and 72.5 per cent lead to the ton; No. 5. 1.01 ounces In gold, 1.20 ounces in sliver and 3 per cent in lead to the ton. The ground lying to the west and to the south of the Dugway Mines Incorporated company's holdings is patented. |
