Show Ideseret handball tournament opens The first games of the Deseret annual handball tournament were played yesterday yes-terday afternoon and evening. Allen Groesbeck opened the tournev bv defeating defeat-ing F. Umpleby two games out 'of three. with eeores of 21-16, 14-21. 21-15. Hyde Cowley tangled with C. Squires and came out on top. His scores were 14-21, 21-20. R, Ashton defeated F. Whitney two straight games, 21-2, 21-2. B. Cum-mings Cum-mings was the victor over J. Richards, winning the necessary two games out of three. In the doubles. Slater and Dent won from Dent and Ashton. Games will be played every afternoon and evening from now on. Handball enthusiasts who are not members of the gymnasium, wishing to attend the games, are welcome and ca,n secure passes at the gymnasium office. of-fice.
