Show SHE 01 SELLS SHOWS UP BETTER Prominent Mining Men of Salt Lake Inspect New Ore Development. With each foot of development work done, the oro body in the Sella property, located in the Little Cottonwood district, continues to improve, according to the reports of conservative mining men who have recently visited the property. The property was inspected on Sunday ly Fred W. Pricef vice president of the Cardiff company and president of the Price Mining company and the Demijohn company; R. S. Lewis. W. H. Weyher and President A. O. Jacobson. Tn discussing dis-cussing the ore development at the property prop-erty yesterday, Fred W. Price said: At the Bells property there In at preaent an excellent illustration of ore replacement in the limestone. The ore, which Is an excellent character of Lron carbonate, carrying lead and sliver values, was first encountered In what 13 known as the No. 1 raise off the main tunnel level. The ore body was struck when up a distance of about forty feet in the raise, and one can readily see while inspecting the 1 strike that the ore has improved as the development work has progressed. pro-gressed. When up in the raise at a point that I should judge to be about 110 feet, drifting was started to the east and to the west. The east drift is out from the raise about thirty feet i and shows about six feet of ore. The ! ore at that point, however, Is not as j good a quality, I should judge merely mere-ly from seeing it, as the ore showing t in the west drift. The west drift is out about forty feet and in the breast there is at least ten feet of what I should say was shipping ore. From that point back to the No. 1 -raise a few raises have been driven on the ore body, all of which are in ore. In discussing the work at present under un-der way, president A. O. Jacobson said yesterday that it was the intention of the company to continue the raises that I were now in progress in the west drift I and later to crosscut the ore body joining join-ing both main raises. From the present j workings there are at least 1000 feet of backs on the vein in the event that it is the Skipper fissure and that the ore continues con-tinues to the surface. |
