Show DEMOCRATS AT LEW STROM MOYLE Delegates to State Convention Conven-tion Undecided as to Other Offices. Special to The Tribune. LEHI. June 3. Dehi Democrats held a primary last evening in the City hall and elected the following delegates to the state convention, which meets in Salt Lake City June 11: Edward Southwick, W. S. Evans, Joseph Anderson, D. J. Thurman, C. W. Eurl, P. H. Allred, A. J. Kvans, Ernest Sladson. Alternates James Mason, A. M. Davis, "William I.overidge, James Schow, W, F. Gurney. Joseph W. Goates, A. B. Anderson and George Zimmerma n. A motion was carried that a Young Men's Democratic club be organized, and Joseph Anderson, Ernest Madsen and A. M. Davis were elected a committee to take the necessary preliminary steps. There was a most optimistic spirit present. pres-ent. From conversations with the delegates dele-gates it is safe to say tht James H. Moyle will get the whole delegation for I'nlted States senator. They are entirely entire-ly up in the a.ir on representatives in congress and supreme court justice. It is yafe to say that the delegates would he willing to give the Progressives the nominations for representatives In congress con-gress in return for Progressive support .for senator and supreme court justice. In the county there is also a strong sentiment among the Democrats for fusion. fu-sion. A leading county officeholder a few days ago stated that the Democrats would be willing to give the Progressives the county superintendent of schools, a commissioner and the assessor, besides a good number of deputyships in exchange for Progressive support. Considering the fact that the Democrats, two years aero, won out against both the Progress- ! Ives and Republicans tn this county, this I is considered to be a generous offer. j |
