Show HINT WOMAN IS HI VISIT Miss Inez Kinney Tells of Work and Objects of the Y. VV. C. A. Miss Inez. Kinney, executive secretary secre-tary of tho west central territorial conimittco of tho national bourd of tho Young "Women's Christian association, with headquarters at Denver, spoke last night; at tho First Methodist church on the development and extension exten-sion of the association work. The wost central territorial conimittco is a recent snbdi vision of the work and this is Miss Kinney's .first oflicial visit to this city. .Her .-jurisdiction oxtcndH over the states of Colorado, KnnsaB, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico. The object of the territorial committee com-mittee is to bring local associations in nlneor tniteli v!fl flin nntinnnl hnnrd. thereby strengthening them and building build-ing up the work of the differqut departments de-partments and courses. Speaking of the Salt Lake association, Miss Kinney said that it was regarded aB an important im-portant one by the nntionnl board, which was anxious that its membership member-ship and work be enlarged. A comparatively new line of work to be established in this territory is that which adapts association principles prin-ciples and methods to small towns and rural centers, that their girls and wom-on wom-on may enjoy the privileges and opportunities op-portunities tHat have belonged to city women. Tn addition to speaking from the pulpit of tho First Methodist church, MTsb Kinney also spoke on the work of the association at the regular ves per services yesterday at tuc v. w. L. A. room in the Continental Bank building. build-ing. Today at 3 p. ni. Miss Kinney will hold conference at the. rooms of the local association to which all women who arc interested in the work of the association arc cordially invited. On "Wednesday at the chapel hour Miss Kinney will deliver an address at the University of Utnh on "Student Life in Paris." During the week she will probably make other addresses and will hold many conferences regarding the work in this city. Next Sunday night she will probably speak from one of the local pulpits. |
